Palette Knife Painting

It is amazing how the more we paint, nothing remains the same. I will be talking about this more, Saturday, during my artist talk at the Museum of Ventura County. Join me 1 p.m.

This portrait, currently on easel, is a good example of what I mean. Executed with a palette knife. I am rather liking putting down the brushes I have used for so many years, to see what comes off the knife.

Happy Easter!

I don't know about you but I LOVE painting. I think this painting I just finished today shows that. It was a joy from start to finish. I just trusted in the powers that be and relaxed.

I should say though that painting 25 hats has left me feeling mad as a hatter but then again, that's nothing new.
