Some Palette Knife Demos...

Yup, it was a great six week teaching session. Thanks to all my wonderful students and the amazing models who sat for my class. I couldn't have done it without you - or my palette knife.

We covered just about everything from how to paint the figure, fabric, and florals, all around the big four, drawing/design, values, edges and color.

I am looking to give one scholarship this year to an art student in need. Do you know of a young person in the Greater Los Angeles area who would benefit from my teaching class and painting the model all year long, my gift to them?

Zenday Best

Every day is Zenday when you get to paint beautiful muses. I love painting this lady. She is an artiste herself, and a wonderful singer. I just love her zenergy.

This was from my teaching class yesterday, now at my studio. Was thinking of Phillip de Laszlo who painted great 'red haired' people in portraits, especially his son.

 It's been a brilliant five weeks with some great work going on in the teaching room. Both figure and still life. New semester starting next Wednesday, drop ins welcome.
