Yes or No? 365 Days of Drawing

I felt weary last night - especially weary of drawing. I watched the clock for every minute of the half hour drawing commitment to see if it was time to stop.

This is what I got. Pulling teeth. I have had root canals I enjoyed more.

Should I finish it? You tell me. I am going to need 25 "yes" votes either here or Facebook.

French photo...cloudy day in Dinan...beautiful majestic building.

I say, nyah, to finishing. If your heart isn't in it...

If you really dread it...no. But I have to say - I think it's going places! The gesture is wonderful. My personal vote is YES.

At the risk of sounding like a nagging editor, my vote is YES (or at least, give it a thirty day lease with an option to renew). It would be interesting to see if you can push through the plateau.
Maybe you want to mix up the program? Maybe go back to some basics like gesture, contour drawing, seeing how many shades of gray you can create with a particular drawing medium (even if you don't have a marketable piece at the end of your thirty minutes).
Go Johanna!

Oh wait, you mean THIS particular drawing. If you're not into it by all means stop. But is it the drawing you don't like, or the experience of putting it together? If it's the latter, then YES finish.

Johanna...you have us all out in "Blogville" a bit confused...do you mean this particular piece or the challenge itself. The Challenge a definite "yes"...we will cheer you on. This piece...if your heart isn't in it dont force it cause it will always then appear to be forced..step away my friend then re-evaluate when the emotion and fatigue has dissipated a bit...maybe mix it up..do something you ordinarily wouldn't do...a perfect opportunity to take a risk.

I say no, not because it isn't good enough, but because it is loose and gestural and adding to it probably will lose that feeling. My vote is move on to the next one!
